Marx is the one of the main villains of Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra. He later appeared in the Waddle Dee Delight series. He first appeared in The Fight With Marx, where he fights Kirby and crew, but is later defeated by his own laser reflected by Mirror Kirby. When he tries to apologise, he is thrown at Galactic Nova by Kirb. He then returns in The Soul To Seek, where it is revealed that he had absorbed Galactic Nova's power and had become Marx Soul. Then, in his new form, fights the crew again, but fails yet again. He later appears in the SOOS series, where he seems to be nicer than usual and befriends Meta Knight.
